7 Lady Vineyards is the brainchild of two long-time friends and business partners who share the same passion for family, entrepreneurship, genuine hospitality, and world-class wines!
Located on 55 beautiful acres at Dover Hall, the vineyards’ name is an homage to the seven beautiful ladies who embody the heartbeat of the Hornik-Ottaviano partnership. Chad and Jeff have taken the non-traditional route. First and foremost, building our wine repertoire so that when we open our tasting room doors in 2026 we will have 25+ wines in our portfolio that appeal to all palates.

Meet the winemaker:
Chad Hornik
In 2018, Chad Hornik extended his passion for hospitality into the vineyard when he and his business partner, Jeff Ottaviano, launched 7 Lady Vineyards. In doing so, Chad blended his sommelier training, which he earned through the Court of Master Sommeliers, with an international network of winemakers and estates. That pursuit deepened further when Chad completed the Enology & Winemaking Program at the University of California, Davis (2022–2025). The result: a Virginia winery producing world-class wines with global craftsmanship, and Chad is now handling all of the Estate winemaking for 7 Lady Vineyards.
