JBR Vineyards
JBR Vineyards was born from a deep love of wine and a desire to pursue something distinctive after retirement. Beginning in 2006, Jessee and Debby started experimenting with several grape varieties. They ultimately chose to focus on Pinot Noir and Riesling—two varietals that are uncommon in Virginia but offer exceptional character and complexity when grown with care. JBR Vineyards was licensed as a Virginia Farm Winery in 2014. From vineyard to bottle, JBR remains committed to quality. All of our wines are estate grown, and every step of the winemaking process is completed on site.

Meet the winemaker:
Jessee Ring
Jessee’s passion for wine has been years in the making from buying and tasting products purchased at auctions, reading many books, attending multiple tastings, and talking to owners of wine shops, vineyards, etc. Starting in a basement with simple, hands-on equipment, what began as a small, personal endeavor grew into a state-of-the-art winery in 2017. He refined his expertise by earning a winemaking certificate from the internationally renowned University of California, Davis.
