Midland Wine
The Jordan family and friends planted their first vineyard in 2007 at Mount Airy Farm in Fort Defiance, Virginia. Midland Construction was originally the name of Ted Jordan's carpentry business, founded in the 70s. In 2016 he passed the vineyard project to his three sons: Ben, Gray, and Tim, who operate as grape growers and wine producers today. The name, Midland, acknowledges the work they do with their hands and backs, building a family wine business on the ridges and hillsides in the middle lands of the Shenandoah Valley.
