Southwest Mountains Vineyards is set along the Virginia foothills of the Southwest Mountain Range in Keswick, Virginia. Known for its idyllic scenery and pastoral vibe, Keswick is a beautiful and integral part of Virginia’s Monticello AVA. With a new Tasting Room and state-of-the art production facility which opened to the public in September 2023, our mission is to highlight this extraordinary terroir and craft the finest of Virginia wines.

Meet the winemaker:
Boela Gerber
Boela Gerber is an internationally renowned winemaker from South Africa who recently made the move to Virginia. Boela obtained his degree (BSc Viticulture & Oenology) at Stellenbosch University in 1995. He now heads the winery at Southwest Mountains Vineyards (SMV), an exciting new winery near Charlottesville in Keswick, Virginia.
