Valley Road Vineyards

Valley Road Vineyards is a Virginia farm winery that sits on the eastern shoulder of the Blue Ridge Mountains near I-64, 15 miles west of Charlottesville. Valley Road was founded in 2015 and continues to be owned and managed by its founders. Valley Road has roughly 16 acres under vine, and its principal varietals under cultivation include Cabernet franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay, Albariño, Viognier, Petit Manseng. Its 2023 Petit Manseng was included in the 2025 Govenor's Case, and its 2023 Albariño was the runner-up in the 2024 Monticello Cup Competition. More recently, Valley Road's 2022 Cabernet franc and 2024 Albariño were awarded Gold Medals in the 2025 Monticello Cup. Valley Road distributes through VWDC, and Valley Road's CEO serves as a board member of VWDC, VWA, and the Monticello Wine Trail.

Meet the winemaker:

Corry Craighill 

Valley Road's winemaker is Corry Craighill, who is the resident winemaker at nearby Septenary Winery in Greenwood, Virginia. A graduate of the University of virginia, Corry has worked in wineries and vineyards around the world, including in Europe and New Zealand, and throughout Virginia.
